Soul Sustenance

Visualization

The practice of visualization in Rajyoga meditation enables us to define our principles and aims and objectives into a single meaningful ‘symbol’ that we can flash into our mind often throughout the day, which helps us in remaining relaxed and focused amidst situations and scenes in which we tend to lose our peace. Imagine you are about to go into a meeting with your organization head in which you know you are going to be subjected to emotional pressure to do something you may not want to do. Before entering the room, stop for a moment and flash up on the screen of your mind the image of your 'symbol'. This will immediately make you recall what is important to you. Even though you may be faced with facts and logical arguments, if you keep focused on this ‘symbol’ you will remain relaxed and stable.

Tomorrow we shall explain a simple meditation commentary to find a symbol for yourself, which represents your principles and aims.
